I went to your celebration today. We were supposed to celebrate your life. But instead, I cried a lot.

People told me that I wasn’t supposed to do that and that you wouldn’t like that, but I didn’t know how to celebrate your death.

Seeing your mom and your wife made me realize how much love you received and meeting your daughter made me realize how much love you were to give.

We absorb you.

We absorb what you gave us and will grow old with you. 

I have known you only for five years and I saw you in person only a handful times, but

you’re one of the people in my heartbeat.
